According to reports in Spain, Barcelona could sign Watford right-back Juanfran Moreno as a replacement for Aleix Vidal, after the spaniard hit by ankle injury after a match against Alaves. Aleix Vidal has been ruled out until next season, and leaves Barca short on right-back. Barca could make a shock move for Juanfran Moreno as ‘a loophole’ in Spain’s transfer rules means club are able to sign players that are already based in the same country on an ‘emergency transfers’, outside regular transfer windows.
Juanfran joined Watford in 2015 but he has never made a single appearance for Watford. He spent last two seasons on loan at Deportivo La Coruna. TV3 reports that the 28-year-old would be available for 8 million euros. Barcelona has been linked with a lot of names as their search for Dani Alves’ replacement continues. Sergi Roberto has been put decent performances whenever he called upon. But a summer move for an upgrade right back could be on the cards. Arsenal’s Bellerin, Southampton’s Cedric, Roma’s Bruno Peres, Valencia’s Cancelo just a few names that keep mentioned as their target.
